Removing Dents With Dry Ice Is A 30 Year Myth.
There is a nationwide perception that dents just “pop out” when you put dry ice on the surface of a heated dent. There are videos all over the internet showing this method. No matter how many videos you see, dry ice dent repair just doesn’t work. We use specially designed metal tools and glue tabs, like the above pictures, to gently bend each dent back to its original shape. Dents are different shapes and depths and each one needs to be bent back to its original shape differently. It would be impossible for these dents to just pop out without bending them back very precisely. It is true that sheet metal expands and contracts with heat and cold. However, dents just don’t “pop out”. We will be glad to show you the PDR process.
